SnowGlobe with a Twist – AMuse and Memory Box

A little while ago, I was pondering how I could use my snow globe stamp in an unexpected way. With Fall in the air and Thanksgiving coming up this week, I came up with the idea to use my snow globe stamp to make a Fall themed card.

Here is what I came up with…….

The Turkey stamp and Happy Fall sentiment stamp are by AMuse. The Snow globe and Leaf stamps are from Memory Box. I used Copics to color the images and I used Spellbinders to cut out and mat the image. The card base is Memory Box soiree paper.

I was a little surprised at how well “Happy Fall” stamped on the ribbon. I used Memento Chocolate Brown and it worked really well.

AMuse - Black Magic Technique

Black Magic is a technique that Melanie introduced me to which I found quite intriguing. She came across this technique on Splitcoast and decided to try it out using a silhouette stamp from AMuse. Black Magic is where you stamp a silhouette image on black cardstock using white ink. Then you color over the white inked image with color pencils leaving parts of the white ink showing to create highlights.  The floral stamp is AMuse’s Chrysanthemum Silhouette stamp.  The end result is quite interesting. I always love the way Melanie seeks out new and ingenious techniques. Check out her creation and let us know what you think.

AMuse Everything’s Rosy - Rose and Vine

I am still on the kick of using white cardstock. The summer heat has influenced me to create cool, clean cards. This card was created using the Rose, Vine and the ‘Have a beautiful day’ sentiment are from  AMuse’s Everything’s Rosy Release. The white cardstock makes the colors really pop.  The great thing about silhouette stamps is you don’t have to color anything. Whenever I am lacking the time needed for making a card, I always reach for my silhouette stamps. I am able to create a fabulous card in half the time. :)

 

Beautiful Autumn – AMuse Fall Release

The chill in the air inspired me to create this Fall card using the New AMuse Fall Release. The stamps in this release are so beautiful and so inspiring. More to come later this week using more of these fabulous stamps.  Enjoy!!!

Halloween Tri-Fold Shutter Card Sample

Here are 2 Halloween Tri-Fold Shutter Cards that Melanie Brown created for us. These tri-fold cards have a lot of character and tons of detail. Melanie found this tri-fold shutter card pattern on SplitCoast and couldn’t resist the challenge. Both turned out fabulously. What do you think? AMuse-A-Palooza Sneak Peek....Kinda of

AMuse-A-Palooza is just around the corner and the anticipation and excitement has been building and building. AMuse has been hosting AP Challenges on the AMuse Blog. Well I decided to add to that anticipation and excitement. :) As a store that is participating in AMuse-A-Palooza, I am not allowed to show the new images before July 10th so instead, I decided to play a little game. AMuse-A-Palooza 2009 July 10th - 19th

It's that time....time for AMuse-A-Palooza 2009. For those who may not know, AMuse-A-Palooza is a week-long paper-crafting celebration featuring the newest products from AMuse. This is when AMuse unveils their New Winter and Christmas 2009 Release. The theme for this year's event is 'Winter Wonderland'. It promises to be one of the best yet. We will be celebrating this event with special Make ' Takes and promotions. All the details on our special event will published the within the next couple of weeks. Don't miss out on this chance to be one of the first to get your hands on the AMuse 2009 Winter and Christmas Release.....even before the general public can get them. AMuse Summer Release Inspirations Cont.......

I have 2 more cards to share using AMuse's New Summer Release. Enjoy!

Sun-sational Day:

This little guy is enjoying his summer by snorkeling with a couple of his friends, Mr Starfish and Mr Crabby. :)

Stamps used: Diver Boy, Seaweed, Tiny Crab and Sun-sational Day Sentiment Stamp.

The water was created by using blue chalk. I found that gave the best effect. All images were colored using Copic Markers and accented with a little sparkle by using Spica Glitter Pens. The images were stamped on La Carta Bella exclusive Copic Paper. The card base was created using AMuse's new Red Gingham paper. Lastly, add a touch of color by using AMuse ribbon.

 

Fun Today:

I just love the new Surf Board. I enjoyed coloring the large blank spaces and was even more excited to use the new Spica Glitter Pens on it. The Spica Pens create a really really cool effect.

Stamps Used:  Surf Board and Don't forge to have fun today Sentiment Stamp

The background for this card was once again created by using chalks. The Surf Board was colored using Copic markers and accented with the Spica Glitter Pens.

More New AMuse Summer Release

More inspiration using the AMuse Summer Release.

Enjoy the Ride Part 1:

The little Pirate Chick was along for the ride! Stamps used were the Pirate Chick and Alligator from the new AMuse summer release. The images were stamped on LCB's exclusive Copic Paper and were colored with Copic Markers. A little touch of sparkle was added to the Pirate Chick's bandana and eye patch using Spica Glitter pens. The card itself was made using the new Blue Gingham paper. Lastly, an accent of AMuse Lime Ribbon was added.

Enjoy the Ride Part 2:

Hang Ten! Stamps used were the Palm Silhouette, Wave, Surfer and Enjoy the Ride Sentiment stamp. The images were stamped on LCB's exclusive Copic Paper and colored with Copic Markers. Part of the water was colored using chalk. A little sparkle was added by using Spica Glitter pens on the palms, surf board, and surfer's shorts. Once again, the card itself was made using AMuse's new Blue Gingham Paper. The look was finished off by adding both yellow and red AMuse ribbon.

New AMuse Summer Release....Continued

Time for more card samples using the newest stamps from AMuse!

Ready * Set * Recline:

This a card that I made in one of my favorite color combinations, pink and brown. I could not resist making this card girly. :) This is a great any occasion card. Perfect for hot summer days.

Materials:  Cabana Rubber Stamp, Ready Set Sentiment Stamp, AMuse Dye Ink, AMuse Pink Gingham Paper, AMuse Pink Note Card, Copic Markers, Brown Bazzill paper and Brown Ribbon.

Hippo Birdie To You:

Who couldn't love this little guy! This sweet little card was made by the creative crew at AMuse. Stamps used are the Hippo, Tiny Bird, Party Hat and Hippo Birdie Sentiment Stamp. All images were colored using Copic Markers.

 

Wish You Were Here:

This little gem is fresh and simple. It was created by the gals at AMuse. Stamps used: Sand Dollar and Wish You Were Here Sentiment Stamp. The Sand Dollars have been cut out and adhered to their new Brown Gingham paper.

New AMuse Summer Release

We have the new AMuse Summer Release in the store and the images are perfect for any occasion. Here are some samples using these new stamps. Also part of this release, are AMuse's new Gingham paper. I wasn't sure I would be sold on this paper until I saw it. The Gingham pattern is small making it perfect for card making. There are lots of beautiful colors available. Now....on to the cards!

Simply Sublime:

Materials: Submarine Stamp, Cloud Stamp, Simply Sublime Sentiment Stamp, Cabana Blue Stripe note card, AMuse Dye Ink (Black), Silver and Clear Spica glitter pens

I stamped all images directly onto the note card itself. In order to achieve a dimensional effect with the clouds, I stamped the clouds again on a separate sheet of paper colored them with Copics, cut them out and then adhered them on top of the clouds that were stamped onto the note card. Once the Clouds were adhered to the note card, I took a light grey Copic marker and outlined around the them creating a slight shadow.

Mama Said There Would Be Days Like This:

This card was created by Melanie Brown. You have got to love her sense of humor with this card. We have all had days like this poor guy. Ha! Stamps used were the Sun, Diver, Treasure Chest, Seaweed, and the Mama Said Sentiment Stamp all from AMuse. Thanks Mel for sharing your art. :)

Enjoy the Ride:

This card was created by the creative team at AMuse. The stamps used were the Sailboat, Palm Silhouette, and Enjoy the Ride Sentiment all from AMuse. Also notice the yellow Gingham paper used. Very cute!!!!

AMuse's New Kokeshi Doll and Dandelion

Today, I wanted to share 2 cards that were created by the creative gals at AMuse.

First, we have the Kokeshi Doll. I have to be honest and admit that I was on the fence about this stamp; however, this card totally won me over.

This card was created using Light Pink AMuse 4-bar notecard, the Kokeshi Doll stamp and the Sakura flower stamp. The Kokeshi Doll was colored with Copic Markers and the Sakura flower was stamped in varied colors of pink to add dimension and character.

 

Next, is the Dandelion stamp.

This fresh card was created using a white AMuse 4-bar Notecard, light blue AMuse Notecard, the Dandelion stamp and the 'Home is' sentiment stamp. The flower part of the Dandelion has been embossed using white embossing powder. Next, stamp the sentiment 'Home is where your Mom is'. Lastly, a final touch of sparkle was added by applying some Creative Candy Jewel stickers around the sentiment.
